Postdoctoral position

Upon completion of my Graduate work in Boca Raton Florida, I landed a post-doctoral position at the Neurological Sciences Inst. at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, OR.  For three years I did work on postural control in the human posture lab under the direction of Dr. Fay Horak.  The city of Portland was a great place for a post-doctoral position, good music, good people and good micro-brews.   As a place to visit and live the northwest has many attractions.  I have created several links below that will show some of the options regarding my favorite pastimes.  Following the link associated with the picture of Mt. Hood (above) will bring up some nice pictures of the northwest as well as provide a few links to interesting outdoor places.

Graduate education

My graduate studies were performed in the little beach town of Boca Raton, FL at a small to medium size school called Florida Atlantic University.  Both my masters and Ph.D. theses were completed under the tutalage of Dr. J.A. Scott Kelso at the Center for Complex Systems and Brain sciences.   Florida offered a graduate student a fairly laid back atmosphere to study and learn.  A lot of great golf courses and beaches as well as a variety of different cultural experiences.  Below I have created a few links to some of the more interesting outdoor features of florida and a few to some of the more commercialized adventures.  The link associated with me on the beach will take you to a page of south Florida pictures.
